Two successive jumps in India's ranking in World Bank's Ease of Doing Business has seen it rise to 77th from 130th rank two years back. Narendra Modi led BJP government has specifically targeted individual parameters used to derive the rankings and working closely with World Bank for the same. Reforms have helped in improving the business environment. Still, the country has a long way to go in its journey. Its imperative to be globally competent to ensure that the benefits of economic growth are shared with all sections of the society.
